The ultimate in delicate nature! Danyang Tiandong Cave
The Cheondong Cave, where you can experience the extreme of feminine and delicate nature along with a year of approximately 450 million years of construction, is a 470-meter-long natural limestone cave designated as Local Monument No. 19 and has been preserved.
The entrance is narrow, so you have to crawl about 20 meters, but since the amount of groundwater penetrating is low, the amount of falling from the ceiling of the cave is small, and the formation of stalactites and stalagmites is being formed very slowly, so the stones that seem to be pouring out are still not huge, but they show a very elaborate and delicate appearance. The 3-meter-long stalagmite “Arctic Icicle” is spectacular, and the determined stalagmites and stone statues of the “Great General of the World”, who has been silently guarding the cave for many years, are reminiscent of a huge world of paradise.
There are three ponds with stagnant clear groundwater, and you can see a “grape sphere” that looks like fresh and beautiful clusters of grapes naturally conceived in the water, and limestone rocks called “flower trays” are rare aquatic secondary products in the world where chylsite (calcite) in the water spreads widely and grows from the side. The dolphins that fill the ceiling of the cave, the creases that gently spread out, and the many stalactites that creep out are like seeing many living creatures dressed in 100 years of snow.
