Red Clay Garlic Village
Red Clay Garlic Village was originally an area in Bukyi-myeon of Danyang, where two valleys meet, so it was called Eongisil, Eungsil, or Eouigok, but in 1914, following the unification of administrative areas, it was called Eouigok and was incorporated into Maepo-eup.
It is located in Eouigok-ri, Maepo-eup, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, and is located 15 minutes from the center of Danyang toward Jecheon and Seoul.
Red Clay Garlic Village is located in Maepo-eup, close to Dodamsambong Peak, one of the Eight Scenic Views of Danyang, and is a village that grows a lot of Danyang six-clove garlic, a specialty of Danyang, and grows garlic using organic methods without using herbicides.
