Sobaeksan Recreational Forest
Located at San 62, Ha-ri, Yeongchun-myeon, Danyang, where Ondalsanseong Fortress, the legend of General Ondal in Goguryeo, and Guinsa Temple, the headquarters of the Cheontae Order, are located, the park utilizes the abundant forest resources of 260 ha. It has nine buildings in Sobaeksan Mountain Hwajeonminchon Village, 15 rooms in two buildings of the Sobaeksan Recreational Forest Forest Cultural Recreation Center, 10 Forest Houses, and 15 buildings for the Jeonggamrok Myeondang Experience Village. A total of 49 forest recreational facilities have been built, and there is a forest trail and the 6th section of the Sobaeksan Jarak-gil Trail, utilizing forest roads in the forests around Sobaeksan Mountain Hwajeonminchon Village and Jeonggamrok. Visitors can breathe in and feel the fresh air through forest bathing and forest trekking in the rich forests.

Jeonggamrok Myeongdang Experience Village
You can experience a cultural recreation space that connects excellent historical and cultural resources such as the Ondalsanseong Fortress of Goguryeo and Guinsa Temple at the foot of Sobaeksan Mountain's Jukryeong Yet-gil (Old Road) On the first floor of the Myeongdang Experience Center, an audio-visual room has been created to make it easier to understand our traditional cultural values, such as Jeonggamrok and the Cheonsang-Yeolcha-Bunyajido. On the second floor, a book cafe where you can drink a cup of tea and read is created so that you can make precious memories with your loved ones in the beautiful forest.

Sobaeksan Hwajeonminchon Village
In 2011, Hwajeonminchon Village was rebuilt and opened at the foot of Sobaeksan Mountain in order to utilize the neglected forest for tourism. The forest has been banned since the 1970s after Hwajeon (Slash and burn agriculture) was banned. At Hwajeonminchon Village, where you can feel the traces of the lives of the 30 families who lived here. You can leave civilization behind for a while and enjoy the fresh scent of the forest, the starry sky, and the opportunity to recharge your body with energy.
