Namcheongyegok Valley
It is located in Sobaeksan National Park, 25 kilometers northeast of Danyang-eup. The valley is deep, with well-preserved natural forests, and the clear, unpolluted water is full of fish.
In the valley near the village, there is a small underwater barrage, which attracts many family visitors to cool off in the summer. There are a limited number of flat wooden benches available for free.
The Sobaeksan Mountain Namcheon Campground, operated by the National Park, requires you to carry your luggage and cross a wooden bridge, but in return, you can enjoy a completely pristine atmosphere next to a deep mountain and a valley with very few houses. In particular, there are no hiking trails up Sobaeksan Mountain along the Namcheongyegok Valley, making it even more serene.
In addition, there are several campgrounds operated by the village or by individuals, making it one of the most popular tourist spots in Danyang in summer.
Near Namcheongyegok Valley are Ondal Tourist Attraction, North Wall, Bobaljae Hill, and Guinsa Temple, the headquarters of the Cheontae-Order, so you can enjoy other attractions that are different from the valley.
