The Ondalgwan Museum can be reached in about 25 minutes from downtown Danyang via Route 59 and Local Road 595, which is connect towards Yongchun and Yeongwon.
The Ondalgwan Museum was built to honor the spirit and soul of Ondal, the hero of Goguryeo, who lives in history based on the lives of General Ondal and Princess Pyeonggang, who were figures in the reigns of King Pyeongwon, the 25th king of Goguryeo, and King Youngyang, the 26th king of Goguryeo. There are panels on the themes of Ondal and Pyeonggang, such as the story of how the crying princess visits Ondal against the will of her father, and how the woodcutter Ondal is transformed into a long-lived general of Goguryeo with the support of Princess Pyeonggang. You can experience the culture and life of Goguryeo at that time through the Goguryeo Life Hall, Danyang Information Center, Goguryeo Culture Hall, Goguryeo Persons Hall, Goguryeo Tomb Hall, etc.
