Hwangjeongsan Mountain (959 meters), which has been overshadowed by the famous mountains of Danyang and the Eight Scenic Views of Danyang, began to be known to people when Chilseongam was selected as one of the Second Eight Scenic Views of Danyang.

Hwangjeongsan Mountain is famous for the thousand-year Daeheungsa Temple and Wontongam built during the Silla Dynasty, as well as 'Yard Rock', 'Silkworm Rock', 'Monster Rock', and 'Stone Pagoda Rock'. It is not an easy mountain for beginners due to its many rocks and steep ridges, but even the tough hike is worth it as you admire the rocks that have been washed away by time and wind.
