A great summer hike that also serves as a vacation spot Dungjibong Peak
Dungjibong Peak (822 meters) is hidden at a distance of 4 kilometers from the ridge, which branches off to the north from Sinseonbong Peak's checkerboard rock in Sobaeksan National Park. Dungjibong Peak is an unexplored mountain that climbs and descends through the Daesangol Valley, making it a great summer hike and a vacation spot.
Dozens of water streams originating from Sinseonbong Peak and its sibling peak, Hyungjaebong Peak of the Baekdudaegan to the east, gather and flow down to the Namhangang River, making it one of the most pristine valleys in the country.
Dungjibong Peak is a difficult mountain for beginners to climb due to its unmaintained trails and rocky terrain, so it is recommended that you have sufficient mountain climbing experience.
