Famous as the Eight Scenic Views of Danyang Gudambong Peak and OksunbongPeak
(Eight Scenic Views of Danyang/Woraksan National Park/National Scenic Site/National Geopark)
Gudambong Peak was named "Gudam, the turtle in the pond" because the rock on the cliff resembled a turtle in the water, while Oksunbong Peak was called "Oksun, the jade-like bamboo shoot" because the beautiful white and blue rocks that rose up were like bamboo shoots.
According to Yeojiseungram, it was praised by the scholar Kim Il-son, and it offers a beautiful view of Chungjuho Lake and Geumsusan Mountain. The late Toegye Yi Hwang, who served as Danyang's governor, carved 'Dangudongmun' on the rock wall of Oksunbong Peak.
