Pristine Valleys for a Cool Summer

Seonamgyegok Valley (Beolcheon-ri to Daejam-ri, Danseong-myeon)

Seonamgyegok Valley is a 10-kilometer-long stream of Danyangcheon that flows from Beolcheon-ri in Danseong-myeon, Danyang-gun, to Daejam-ri. Within Seonamgyegok Valley, there is the Teukseonam Rock, Sangseonam Rock, Jungseonam Rock, and Soseonam Rock, and the surrounding mountains are Doraksan Mountain, Duaksan Mountain (Sogeummuji- Salt Mountain), and Deokjeolsan Mountain.

It is said to be the place where the gods roam, so it was also named "Samseongugok" by the Danyang governor, Yi Hwang. Seonamgyegok Valley is a 10-kilometer-long pristine valley alongside Route 59, where you can enjoy a refreshing drive and admire the crystal-clear water and dazzlingly white, wide rocks.

Namcheongyegok Valley (Namcheon, Yeongchun-myeon)

Namcheongyegok Valley is located within the Sobaeksan National Park area in Yeongchun-myeon, Danyang-gun, where the water is clear and the natural forests are well preserved due to its remote location. In summer, the lush greenery and crystal clear waters of the valley are a delight, and in autumn, the foliage is spectacular.

In the valley near the village, there is a small underwater barrage, which attracts many family visitors to cool off in the summer. There are a limited number of flat wooden benches available for free.

Sadonggyegok Valley (Sadong-ri, Daegang-myeon)

Sadonggyegok Valley is a pristine valley where streams originating from Dosolbong Peak and Myojeokbong Peak of the Sobaeksan Mountain flow through Sadong Village. It is the starting and ending point of the hiking trail to Dosolbong Peak and is a popular family vacation spot in the summer.

In addition to the crystal-clear water, the spectacular view of the rocks and boulders along the valley attracts visitors. You can enjoy a cool dip in the clean water that flows down from the top of Sobaeksan Mountain, and experience the rural atmosphere in the nearby farming villages, for a memorable trip.

Saebatgyegok Valley (Eouigok-ri to Daedae-ri, Gagok-myeon)

Saebatgyegok Valley, a stream of water flowing from the deep valley of Sobaeksan Mountain. Saebatgyegok Valley is a place where the sound of water in a cool valley echoes cleanly under the ridge of Sobaeksan Mountain, where white clouds rest. The water is clear and clean because it descends from the clear mountain, and the cherry salmon, which recognizes the pure and serene water, has become the guardian of this place, and the dense trees and forest around the valley form a beautiful landscape painting.

Cheondong-Dariangyegok Valley (Cheondong-ri, Danyang-eup)

Starting from the Birobong Peak of Sobaeksan Mountain and flowing in front of Darian Local Tourist Area, Cheondong Tourist Area, and Gosudonggul Cave, Cheondonggyegok Valley boasts cold and clean water that you can't put your hands in for a long time even in summer. The rushing water of the stream, which twists and turns around rocks and boulders, combined with the clean air from the dense forests, creates a cool and refreshing retreat for those looking to escape the blazing heat.
