Ondal Cultural Festival

The Ondal Cultural Festival is held in Danyang in the fall, when the mountains are red with autumn leaves, with the theme of Ondal and Pyeonggang, a thousand-year love story, and Goguryeo culture.

Geumsusan Gamgol Maple Festival is an autumn festival held in Geumsusan, one of the Eight Scenic Views of Danyang, where you can overlook the scenic beauty of Chungju Lake. During the festival, there are various events such as walking on a themed maple path to fully enjoy the beauty of autumn foliage, the Geumsusan Mountain Hiking Competition, recreation of the Sansin (Mountain god) Festival, and a singing contest. In addition, there is also an event for visitors to take photos for free with the background of the mountain, also called as "Minyeobong (Beauty Peak)", because it looks like a beautiful woman lying down, making the festival more and more passionate every year.

Danyang Sobaeksan Royal Azalea Festival

Sobaeksan Royal Azalea Festival, which is themed after Sobaeksan Mountain and azaleas, the symbol of Danyang, Chungcheongbuk-do.
Held on the theme of May's azaleas, which are beautifully embroidered at the foot of Sobaeksan Mountain, one of Korea's 12 most famous mountains and the border between Chungcheongbuk-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do, the Danyang Sobaeksan Royal Azalea Festival has a variety of activities, including mountain-centered programs such as the Sobaeksan Sansin (Mountain God) Festival and a family hike to Sobaeksan Mountain. There are also various experience programs such as the Riverside Concert, Azalea Song Festival, and National Silver Song Festival, as well as azalea bonsai and wildflower exhibitions.

It is also the home of the annual National Mandarin Fish Lure Fishing Tournament, making it a favorite destination for fishing enthusiasts.
Held in Danyang-gun, which is the primary source of Mandarin Fish, the tournament includes pre-tournament events such as a ceremonial rite before fishing and a competition to see who can throw the fly the farthest and most accurately. The actual competition is judged on the combined length of the three Mandarin Fish caught by the participants.
